Since moving to Nashville in 2018, Sam Merrill has enjoyed a career as a freelance commercial trumpeter, private teacher, composer/arranger, and clinician. Though he prefers the stage or the studio, getting to teach young trumpeters and help them grow is a true joy as well.
Influences include Wayne Bergeron, Jerry Hey, Miles Davis, Tom Walsh, among many more.
