Resume / Bio:
Originally from Florida, Owen is a Nashville-based saxophonist, woodwind doubler, singer, and arranger who works in the studio and live show scenes. Over the past 14 years, Owen has been playing saxophone in and around the Florida and Nashville areas. Since graduating Belmont University in 2024, he has been playing, writing, and arranging for solo and large horn sections with various groups. As a solo artist and singer he tends to lean towards the Neo soul, pop, soft rock, and fusion genres.
Owen grew up as the only musician in his family, so most of his inspiration came from his love of the great sax solos that defined the 70s and 80s. As a horn player, he draws a lot of his style and technique from the likes of David Sandborn and Phil Woods.
Since he started performing, Owen has been able to perform at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York City, as well as be a participating member of multiple state and county wide events throughout the years. He has also had the pleasure and honor work with talented artists such as Tomo Fujita, Natalie Layne, Iam Tongi, Shannon Lauren Callihan, Sam Palladio, Eric Krasno, Butch Walker, and others. You can currently find him playing sax and singing lead vocals with the Moga Family Band in and around the wider Nashville Area.
