Having grown up in Nashville, both Bennett’s playing and his circles of friends come from a valuable, time tested place. Since his first paying gig at age 14, he has played in countless venues across the country with jazz bands, acoustic duos, country singers, cover acts, worship groups, rock bands...you name it. Best known for his bass playing and songwriting, Bennett has slowly but surely developed a reputation as a reliable sideman and a humorous songwriter. If you’re out in Nashville, you can be sure you’ll meet him sooner or later. He spends more nights than not friends’ shows, songwriters nights, on Broadway and just about anywhere else music exists.
