Tony Forte is an extremely reliable, versatile, and seasoned bassist. His strength shows in the wide array of musical styles he can switch between and/or blend together to fit the desired sound in the studio or on stage. The pocket is always the highest priority.
Resume / Bio:
Tony Forte is a Virginia Beach native and graduate of Wake Forest University with 23 years of experience playing bass in bands. He plays electric bass and electric upright bass in a variety of styles including country, rock, blues, jazz, funk, reggae, and RnB. In addition to playing live and in the studio, he is also a songwriter and composer for film and television- currently as a producer for the nationally syndicated golf program "The Fairways of Life". He's worked with and studied under David Porter (former house songwriter for Stax records), Boo Mitchell (Royal Studios), and Andy Hill (former VP of Disney Music). After spending 2 years playing music in Spain and then 7 years in Memphis, he moved to Nashville in 2021 to continue his music career.
