Geoffrey Cox was born near New York City - the child of two music teachers. He spent his school years ditching lunch to play in bands. New York was the perfect place to grow a lifelong love of all styles of music. When he wasn’t in the jazz clubs, Geoff was learning classic rock lyrics and guitar solos on his sax. He cut his teeth playing in blues, rock, and after hours clubs and casinos in Manhattan, Pittsburgh, and New England. Geoff can be heard playing sax, flute, Irish whistle, and wind synth on albums by Old Dog New Trick, Driving Route 9, Swim Deeper, and IIIrd Class as well as movie scores. He is thrilled to be in Nashville and playing with the best musicians in the world.
