Gwen Holt & The Blue Souls are a bluesy Americana Swamp n Soul band with a swig of Janis Joplin. Originals and covers. Local shows. Corporate events. Festivals. I front the band and also play sax, harmonica, guitar, and keys.

BIO FOR GWEN HOLT & THE BLUE SOULS

Gwen Holt & The Blue Souls are a bluesy Americana Swamp n Soul band with a swig of Janis Joplin. Sometimes compared to The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Susan Tedeschi, and Beth Hart. Gwen's voice, harmonica, and sax slip from sweet to gritty while Michael Lashinsky's guitar is slinky, slidey, and melodically groovy. Visually, the band has a classy vintage vibe.

Whether clapping, stomping, or telling jokes and stories, Gwen loves interacting with the crowd, and her band, The Blue Souls make them want to shake their groovy collective booties.

Gwen Holt & The Blue Souls recorded a live EP with 5 live videos at The Bowery Vault in Nashville (YouTube). The band members are all music industry veterans, having toured and performed with many groups over the years. According to Mandy Shucher, the band's bassist, the group is amazingand should be doing huge, international festivals.
