Hunter Sholar is Fourth Horn of the Nashville Symphony, Second Horn of the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra, in addition to being an active musician in the Nashville recording industry and teaching horn privately.
He has held positions with The Saint Louis Symphony, Florida Orchestra, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Honolulu Symphony, Oregon Mozart Players, and Colorado Music Festival and has performed with The Grand Teton Music Festival, Cincinnati Symphony, Chicago Chamber Musicians, Milwaukee Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, Oregon Symphony, and Sarasota Orchestra. He has been a featured soloist with The North Carolina Symphony, performing Richard Strauss’ Concerto No. 1 and Mozart’s Concerto No. 3.
Hunter lives in Nashville, TN with his wife, Kristen, their two sons, Conifer and Leonard, and their cat, Erda. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, camping, backpacking, mountain biking, and is an avid disc golfer.
