Mick Utley is a writer, producer, composer and keyboardist from Los Angeles. He spent his childhood playing piano and went on to study jazz at The University of Miami. It was there that he fell in love with writing music and playing in bands. Through his exposure to the recording process at that time, he started experimenting with production. With years of writing, recording, producing, and touring under his belt, he has a multi-faceted background that also lends experience and creativity to composing for film and television. He has cuts with major recording artists like Jimmy Buffett, as well as writing and production credits with many up-and-coming artists (Athena, D A V I S, Nilka). He has writing and production placements on a myriad of networks such as Showtime (Shameless) and MTV (Siesta Key, Teen Mom, Jersey Shore). He also works with production libraries (Velvet Green Music/Bulletproof Bear) and has commercial credits (including the official Marquita Bradshaw campaign for US Senate). Additionally, he produced and hosted At Home With the Coral Reefer Band for Margaritaville TV and Radio Margaritaville. He is currently touring with Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band.
