QUALIFICATIONS Accomplished and proven professional musician. Highly motivated self-starter. Demonstrated areas of expertise include composing, arranging/orchestrating, producing, conducting, music calligraphy (copying), instrumental performance, music production, personnel management, budget writing, and time management. Has taught at all levels (beginner to professional). Instruments: electric bass, electric upright bass, trumpet, and guitar. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 2001 – 2011: Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Music, College of Central Florida, Ocala, Florida Director of Bands; conductor/leader of College Symphonic Band, Patriot Blues Jazz Ensemble and Combo, Brass Ensemble, and Music Theatre Pit Band. Instructor of Music Fundamentals, Music Theory I – IV, and Composition. Section trumpet/electric bassist, and resident composer/arranger for the Ocala Symphony Orchestra. 1996 – 2001: Instrumental Music Teacher, Prince Georges County Public Schools School of employment: Gwynn Park High School, Brandywine, MD. Charged with running the entire instrumental and general music programs. 1992 – 1996: Associate Composer/Producer, Paul Christianson Music, Huntingtown, MD Post scoring and jingle production; copyright research, music librarian, subordinate composing/arranging. Duties included writing for all of the component groups of the organization, writing and producing PSA jingle spots in support of Navy Recruiting, film scoring in support of Naval Imaging Command, budget writing/supply procurement, and assisting in the music library.
