I was on Capitol with Walk the West, The Cactus Brothers and Bonepony as a signed artist. Yes I have had 3 major label deals and been dropped by Capitol 3 times. So, I know what being the artist is like. I also did sideman/session stuff for The Kendalls, Lucinda Williams, Hank Jr., Deana Carter, Doug Dillard Band, Kevn Kinney, The Shakers.
I was in the movie, "Pure Country".
I am older (58), single, sober, in good shape and easy to get along with on the road. I have tons of life experience. I left Nashville in late 2004 because of an unplanned pregnancy and went to work for the International Bluegrass Museum as Event Coordinator of their festival, ROMP. In 2008 the recession caused the Board to lay me off. My wife at the time refused to move back to Nashville and I had no choice but to go underground to work in the coal mines. I was in the mines for almost 12 years. I've been out for 2 years and have gotten my chops as well as my gear back up to speed. I am ready to play! I've been providing some overdubs from my Pro Tools rig, playing reunion shows with my old bands and playing regional pick up dates. I am working a "Day Job" as a Stage Manager, Monitor Man and Audio Tech for a production company now but have been commuting to Nashville pretty often and have plans to move back soon since the kids are older and I got divorced.
