Description:
I mainly play steel guitar. I can also play lead guitar, dobro, and electric bass. I can sing lead or backup vocals. I have a 24-track digital recording studio, and make demo recordings for song writers. If your kid has trouble with algebra, I can help.
Resume / Bio:
Born and raised in Atlanta. Moved to Miami with my parents when I was 15. Went back to Atlanta to go to college at Georgia Tech, where I majored in Naval Science (NROTC) and Aerospace Engineering. Graduated in 1962 and entered the Navy, where I served for 6 years (1962-1968). After discharge from Navy, I came to Nashville to try playing music professionally (I had played as a hobby since I was 13). From 1968 to 1976 I travelled and played steel with many artists, incuding Charley Pride, Billy Walker, Jean Shepard, Roy Druskey, and others. In 1976 I moved back to South Florida, got married, and began teaching school in Fort Lauderdale. Moved back to Nashville in 1992 with my wife and four children, so the oldest one (Michelle) could get a shot at the music business. I took a job at Cameron Middle School teaching science and working with the Civil Air Patrol cadet program as Aerospace Education Officer. After 12 years of teaching at Cameron, I retired from Metro Schools in 2004. I now make songwriter demo recordings in my home studio and teach remedial math part-time at Apollo Middle School in Nashville.
